Somehow it passed quality control or it was just my bad luck to get a faulty one but still i think it’s a design flaw and for hiking shoes like those one needs proper metal eyelets
The eyelets are made of fabric and one of them was not stitched in at all a stitching machine fault i’m guessing so when i pulled the shoesstring on the first attempt it just flipped out and rendered the whole shoe unusable
