Pros
The only issue i have right now is outdoor temperature accuracy during the daytime. This appears to be related to my shed, where the remote is mounted under the eave. But it's better than what i had and it is a nice-looking device.
The display is easy to read and has lots of info. The screen is readable from a distance and contains the most important information. It's smaller than i imagined, and i have to read the day/date with my nose.
Cons
No where in the spec's are the tolerances listed. This means that temperature alerts could be 4 degrees off(froze vs freeze) the outdoor sensor fails after a year or two even though it is in a protected location under the eves of the roof. It now read... Read More
I plan on contacting la crosse technology to have the unit replaced under warranty. Extremely disappointing.

Battery operated easy to read accurate within 1 degree of our nist traceable thermometer
Very easy to sync the main base unit with its outdoor sensor during initial setup
The rechargeable nimh aa cells i tried produced too little voltage to clearly read the display from every angle
This unit still has strong battery levels after 6 months since it is just receiving info from the temperature sensor

The price is right as of the time i purchased it

It works off of the same sending unit as other la crosse units that i have around the house
I have another la crosse weather station that works with three sensors and the included sensor can be changed to channels 13
I have two other more advanced weather stations that i supplemented with this simpler unit

While the others have windspeed and rainfall sensors both are tied to a permanent installation both in the polemounted sensors and also the indoor ac power and wifi connections

Accuracy seems good but only a lab test would tell the full truth

The only downside ive noticed is when the units battery voltage goes low the display significantly reduces in contrast and becomes difficult to read

There is no backlight feature for reading in the dark but thats what flashlights are for

This one comes with a sensor that is set at channel one and cannot be changed and the weather station will only receive from a channel one sensor

Was concerned when i removed the adhesive display over the face because the lcd display seemed corrupted but that gradually went away after loading the batteries
