Pros & Cons
Pros
The ust focuses on the lower frequencies while the mic captures the highs. The combination of the transducer and the microphone is simply beautiful. The low end from the undersaddle is full and rich, while the tru-mic provides breath and detail.
I'm not too squeemish about tinkering with guitars, but i think anyone with a basic skill level and familiarity with their guitar's construction and setup methods can get the job done. As always, lr baggs delivers! If you don't feel comfortable, have ... Read More
The anthem uses both an under saddle transducer and an internal mic. I installed it in my 2010 collings om1 mh sb & it sounds great. I prefer the minimalist controls of the sl, but the full anthem can be useful for louder stages, and is overall mo... Read More
It is very feedback-resistant (i haven't had feedback problems yet), there is no hallow sound. Really captures the guitar's resonance with zero quacking and feedback.
The taylor is a cannon and can be pretty boomy through an amp or pa. I play through a fishman loudbox amp and a pa system (mackie/ jbl/ lexicon components) the pickup takes eq well, but usually only needs a minor tweak in the midrange.
Cons
The anthem works okay as a supplemental pickup to dial in extra bass, but eventually i plan to have it uninstalled and replaced with a mic that responds better to the higher frequency range. The strap button is so narrow that none of the straps i have... Read More

The typical placement parallel to the bridge pins in front or behind the bridge pins just sounded bad real high midtones almost annoying highs my eq pedal sliders looked like a v to make it playable

The mic level adjustment screw had to be adjusted with every mic placement attempt obviously

The mic does have very strong highs 3000 hz range so moving the mic toward the deeper strings cut that a little and allowed me to turn it up more giving it more of a balanced tone and volume
