Ive only had them for a couple of weeks and i dont think i could wear them comfortably with thick socks on yet but it seems like theyll stretch enough to work with socks by the time the weather gets cool enough to need socks

They seemed a little bit tighter than i expected but as i wear them they are seeming to stretch out and loosen up

I can wear them outside to take the dogs out or on a short errand without being uncomfortable or worrying about ruining the slippers

The soles are thicker than what id expect for slippers
