Pros

This cartridge works great and gives great tasting water and lasts close to a year. Check that the faucet valve is open to let air in.

This filter removes every trace of the scent or taste of chlorine. Great for under the kitchen sink.

It is excellent in filtering chlorine taste, odor and sediment. It catches cysts and heavy metals as well. Filters giardia out to keep from getting stomach cramps, and diarrhea.

Kx matrikx pb-1 is a great filter with great specs for any municipal water system. This filter gives better performance at lead removal than the pitcher based ones like brita. This filters up to 2500 gallons of water thus the cost per gallon is minima... Read More

Cons

All of the active carbon surface has been exhausted. Less than a month it developed a sour taste to the water. I mean the amount of water coming out of faucets.

Buyer beware. Not a reputable merchant. Will not be buying again. Please boycott kx matrikx.

The product being shipped now is not what is shown. There is no way for the layperson to distinguish any quality differences.

Decent quality filter at a reasonable price

I have not installed it yet but i imagine it is a good product

However im not sure i can continue to use this product

With the filter installed it takes 15 minutes to fill a bath tub

Shipping

I didnt buy the kx matrikx again because i needed a new filter that day and cant wait for shipping delay

Competitiveness

Slightly more expensive than the other brands and part numbers but worth it in my opinion

Not too much of a pressure drop

Hopefully i can get an answer from the manufacturer
