Pros & Cons
Pros
Definitely clamp your work. Gets it done quick if you can keep up. Delivery on kutzall products seems to be a little iffy. Sometimes they ship next day sometimes they ship whenever.
It saves me time shaping wood carvings. I use this for wood carving and it is excellent. Good price on this bit, odd shape & size.
These are great burrs, run at a moderately high rpm and are shockingly controllable and civilized. The 1/4 version is a monster, and with a high hp die grinder, removes material like a sci-fi ray gun. This is for the 1/2 inch fine surface burr.
Cons
Wish i had returned it before the window closed.

I was happy with the kutzall bit i was using but wanted some extra cutting ability for digging out wood
Thought kutzall was a more solid product
I guess it would work with a hand drill but it would be really hard to manage with the drill’s shape to use it for carving

I went to reorder one and its price had gone up 8 bucks in less than 2 weeks

When it clogs up in use a little wire brush action removes the material and its ready to chew up wood gusto

Wont load unless you hit a softer material that heats and adheres the bit

I guess i must be the only person who uses these

A very minor tendency overall but its about all the negative i can give you

Id say any quality 18 tool should be able to handle these especially the smaller diameter style cutters

There was a bit of stringing and a lot of sawdust sticking to the carved portion of the workpiece so i took to wiping away the adhering dust occasionally with a shop rag
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I also had a fan running across the bench also to keep the sawdust from sticking so bad and suddenly and without warning the fan blew the rag off the bench into the burr with expected results
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The rag wrapped around the tool causing a terrible imbalance and slightly bending the shank of the burr before i could get it stopped
