This really is a fantastic pencil sharpener and a brilliant bit of engineering from japan. Comparing this to a staedtler noris club double hole tub sharpener, i have to say this kutsuwa is far better.

The sharpener seems to glide through the pencils very smoothly and they're sharp after a couple of twists. The blade is extremely sharp and pencils sharpen very smoothly with ease. It's gentle enough not to mangle the wood, or break the wax off.
Cons
When sharpening a pencil, it feels that if i put any pressure on the pencil, the sharpener inside will come loose. Thirdly, using #5 on the dial does not give a nice long point. The lowest number just sharpens the lead to a small point and the highest... Read More
