It's extremely light, which at first felt weird, but now i appreciate the light touch—less hand fatigue. It's all metal construction is very satisfying. My only complaint is that i wish there were an option for metal body instead of plastic.

For beginners who want to do calligraphy in their spare time, it’s a really awesome product. Teen uses for chinese class. Smooth and easy to write with.

Cons

It's a bummer because i was really looking forward to creating illustrations with this illustrious drawing tool. Never happened.

The ink is not waterproof but flows nicely and if you only want to write with the pen its no problem

Its isnt flat black when dry but has an almost shimmery quality that i like and seems common with sumi

It’s cartridge fed much like pentel’s excellent “pocket brush pen” but the barrel is of much higher quality

I ordered it march 27 and was patient with shipping problems for over a month

The ink even works great with copic makers and so long as it gets plenty of time to dry it doesnt smudge or fade when erased over

I have worked with different kuretake brushes before but this one is gorgeous and beautifully balanced

I used to use a kuretake 8 which is more disposable version of this i guess cheaper plastic barrel etc
