For comparison i tried cooking in this pot without soakinglisted cooking times are for presoaked beansand found i need to run 3 of the listed cycles to cook beans though an extra cycle might have been optimal

In practical terms about an hour totalbut i wasnt comfortable cooking an hour in the microwave at one goi did 18 min at a time and checked each cycle after natural release

As i rice cooker for a small family this could definitely replace an electric rice cooker for a big family maybe not
