    I didnt know what it was for at first but now i realize it starts up the cardboard app that you can download vr videos from

    But after awhile that nfc sticker gets so annoying that when i inserted my phone it would always go to the cardboard app and close out my video i was trying to play

    I have a note 5 so i went to my settings went to nfc and payments and turned it off

    That helped now i just wish you could change videos after one ends to another one without having to undo the strap remove the rubberband and remove the phone to start a new vr video

    The rubberband is needed so the phone which is without a case wont fall out the side
