Pros

It slows the mouse down, but only slightly. It's hardly noticeable. This little mouse rug is exactly what i was looking for. Love this mousepad.

Cons

The base seems like it's constructed out of a medium-thickness neoprene. Where the mouse rubs it much of the time the design is rubbing off. Not worth the money; returned for refund.

It is very cute but disappointed that it does not work as a mousepad. It isn't worth the hassle to return it so i use it as a coaster.
