    Sd cards tend to fall ouy of their places when the case is open unless it is kept horizontal

    Might be fine in rain but with that gasket removable there is no way id trust it in a submersion environment

    A compression gasket fits between the clamshell halves assuring that even a short immersion into water none will get inside
