They fit my '88 schwinn prelude which has minimal clearance between the pad and the front fork. The front of the pad is also angled to plow mud away from the rim.

So far the blacks appear to be superior offering more grab with less effort on the brake lever

I have found these and the aztec brakes to be the best

I purchased one set of blacksalmon dual compound shoes at the same time because kinkosh only had one of the blacks in stock
