Pros & Cons
Pros
Works great. Works just as prefectly. A note on the first batch. Place the tmp36 on the breadboard with the lettered side facing the arduino board.
Cons
Tried changing the voltage divisor, but no good.
Highlights
Quality
This sensor is stable and works well
They are accurate linear and fairly quick to react to temperature changes
Avoid wiring with cables that have a black cap surrounding the tip sensor may not return accurate voltage values
On program reload i accept much of that is my fault but i have had working code run for days and the sensor data is skewed from actual
Price
Get this mixed up and wonder why nothing is working grab the sensor and burn the out of your fingers because you have the vccgnd reversed
Packaging/appearance
Came in a nice hard plastic case that prevents damage during shipping
All devices arrived in good physical condition
But the box can generate a charge as the plastic molded and leaded parts tumble around
This bag came loose in a small plastic box
Competitiveness
The tmp36 is a good choice for an inexpensive temperature sensor and is much easier to implement in software than a thermistor
