The new screen works well the display does not have a high resolution but it is excellent for my needs
If the product did not meet a 4 or 5 star standard we would refuse to recommend it
However there was a problem with the touch pen function in that it operated only in small areas of the screen

Indeed it is always on as it is directly connected to the power rail and there is no possible way to control it using a gpio write
It does what is says on the tin and use have 24 spare gpio pins out of 40

The screen comes with its own case which allows the pi and screen to be housed together in perfect safety

It will run on the pi zero but you need to set the pi zero up to have the correct drivers installed but there is plenty of information about how to do that available

It is well made technically plugandplay although on linux based operating system there is of course some setting up to do as linux is just not as user friend as windows iot or 10
