It doesn’t extend below the bottom surface of the case so when you want to use it you have to pull it out with your fingers

I prefer the type where the hook extends below the case so when you rub the case along the edge of a board the hook catches on the board and pulls out the tape

Doesnt matter if its a 30 dewalt or the whatever other expensive tapes that are out there once it gets wet or dirty the life span exponentially decreases and in mostly underground work we do the most expensive tape wont last more than 3 months

However the tape is soft and if attempting to measure hight it will bend and wont stay up
