The az-252 uses standard aa batteries and the 25x zoom is about the hand-held limit. The battery lasts long and its easy to get the hang of.

Never buy one of these things without a viewfinder. The invincible z710 mysteriously disappeared. Screen glare in the sunlight makes viewing your subject impossible.

Despite having a manual mode with both aperture and shutter speed control, there is no manual focus. Most of the pictures are fuzzy the auto focus is more like somebody’s looking to beer goggles. All 50 pics i have taken so far are very soft focused.
