Pros
Adjustment screw holds the phone securely to the unit in both horizontal and vertical positions. The holder looks very versatile but i have a spider tripod that allows the 360 mobility so will only use one part of two part holder.
The mount fits a standard tripod. Easily fit my iphone xr. Fits my samsung note 9 with an otter box defender case on. My galaxy s21 ultra fits nicely and seems quite secure.
Cons
When clicking it on the android mode, it activates the volume and does not take pictures or video. No option for video from remote as advertised.

I was looking for a smartphone attachment that would allow our hockey team to video games and practices while also allowing the phone to remain in its protector case and be able to be mounted vertically or horizontally

This holder like most i find do not have deep enough arms

If you have a case of on your phone it will not allow the phone to sit in the groove

A video light at least on unit i got is too tight and standard hot shoe wont fit into it and1b the hot shoe slot is molded into the chone clamp screw head

Unless your light can be rotated in its shoe even if it fits it wont be of use
