That said after roughly a month of use the top edge is starting to fray a little bit as though the plastic coating it peeling away from the paperaluminum material

The ones i tried before were basically tyvek coated with thin metallic foil and they lost their stiffness after a few uses and it became harder and harder to insert my passport until i finally gave up

Unfortunately i dont have any way of telling whether or not they actually work which is the most important aspect of these protectors
