Used it on a course that did not have reflectors on the flag stick but it was still able to grab the stick from 300 yards

It may not be as fast as the bushnell range finders and doesnt shake when it picks up the flag stick but dollar for dollar its worth it

The focus knob works great for me with anything at a reasonable distance but one note if you are trying to check the distance of something close like within 15ish feet then you cant focus on both the object that youre looking at and the electronic readout
