Inside is well padded and expertly crafted. It is a lot sturdier than the case we'd been putting it in! It has extra padding around the bridge.

It's plenty strong but not extremely heavy, well padded, and appears to be very well made. Surprisingly sturdy and lightweight. Durable and light weight.

Has four hasp style latches, and one of them locks with a key. That means you've hit the spot where you're locking/unlocking it. Comes with built-in lock and key.

I noticed while locking it that the tabs were a bit lower than they need to be so it just wasnt entering the holes of the latch
