For me it was an upgrade to the original cheap hardware that came with the house—it’s all relative

One thing was that the instructions directs you to switch the handle 180º to change from left to right or vice versa

However the shaft on which the handle mounts is tapered so it cannot be reversed on the same piece of hardware but must be remounted on the opposite handle

Due to the way the door locks and its simple to open from the outside i wouldnt recommend this type it you were looking for locks for security reasons

The only down side to this is that it didnt fit into the door so we had to make the hole a bigger hole for it
