Pros

The characters are multi-faceted and memorable. There are hints of romance that keep the reader guessing.

Very engrossing story. Always striving to do the “right thing”. It is a lesson most of us could use during our turbulent times.

There was much intrigue & taking of arms against relatives, much to their chagrin. The'magic' manifesting as it does here is also a really lovely change of pace from the typical use of magic in most fantasy series.

Jeff wheeler continues to amaze me. I am always impressed with how easy it seems to be for jeff to immerse me into his written page. Wheeler for weaving a tale to suit the imagination!
