The tent i carry is compact and lightweight and does the jobhowever no matter what sleeping mat i carried deflatable well known brand it was always too big to put into a pannier and ended up getting strapped externally to the bike in some location

So unless you like sleeping covered in drawing pins i cannot imagine useage inside a tent to be a problem
