The 28f are vastly superior to the 14s in every way! Hard to say. They possess some restraint.
A yamaha rx a860 htr with 2 klipsch 28f fronts. The polk speaker are great speakers but really could use a subwoofer. If you do multichannel sacd or multichannels music in general, having full range tower speakers as rear surrounds is!

Classical music is a mixed bag some tracks are stellar while others are clinical or sterile cold or slightly thin sounding

Poorly recorded choral or classical vocal will suffer from the unforgiving overrevealing nature of the rp8000f’s

A slightly warmer and less hyper detailed speaker like the klipsch r620f or r820f may suit classical music better unless you really like the hyper detail of thinner sounding rp8000f speakers

The rp8000f’s are a touch too polite or subdued for very aggressive rock

They can play loud no problem but these are not allout party animal speakers in attitude or demeanor
