Pros & Cons
Pros
Great drift, takes a beating and keeps just being a large, tapered, hunk of metal. Used it as a blacksmith drift for hammer eyes. Used as a punch to put teeth on buckets. Can be used on any jd x540 garned tractor.
It has just enough hardness to give a little but not too soft to stand up to the whacking be it sledge or little ball peener. I have a smaller one but wanted one with more heft and this one fits the bill.
Cons
The bull pin is dead soft. There is no way it was ever heat treated.
