You put the panpot on the surface first then plug it in then turn it on then pick a cooking selection then alter the temperature up or down as needed except for the mike and water function which are set at 176 and 212 respectively

If you want to pick another temp you have to change to one of the other 3 setting and then use the plusminus to alter temp in 35 degree steps

I wish that kithcenpro had just a few more settings but i dont know how realistic that would be needs smaller temperature increments to choose from the following are high to low in fahrenheit 536 464 428 392 356 320 284 248 212 176 i dont like that you have to press the buttons one by one as opposed to just holding the button and having it scroll

I researched induction cooking and its benefits over gas and conventional electric for speed energy use and safety but to just go out and buy a induction cooktop is very expensive without using one first to see if it fits our needs

I thought my pot was level but as you can see in the images below its warped in the center
