Used once or twice and stored in a drawer. Went to use it again and the housing is cracked. Looked at my plastic slicer, also cracked. It looks like we received the same broken product another reviewer posted.

Not a issue but make sure you get both parts of this device as sold by kitchen aid

Secondly the first strainer was not compatible with my unit that is a newer model
