Pros & Cons

Pros

Easy to clean, grate is removable which is nice. Comes out great in the top rack of my dishwasher. Some sideways play in the handles that gives me pause, and i wonder if the rivet that acts as hinge axle will really stand up to years of dishwashings.

It feels very solid when using it, and is ergonomically easy to use. No wobble whatsoever. This thing is sturdy, but the size is a bit big for me.

It does an excellent job of mincing garlic, spring onions, shallots or even tougher and rarely minced items like ginger root. It presses about 2 cloves at a time. Each clove is pressable.

The handles are thick and solid, easy to grasp, and give lots of leverage. The holes are the right size (and numerous enough) to mince the garlic without it being hard to push it through. The handle grips are super great.

It does the job better then many competitors.

Easy to clean made of good quality and should last for years

I dont see any poor engineering in this press and i have found its mechanical advantage to deliver enormous force at the sieve

I purchased one a few years back and it has always been a problem as the press does not line up well if you put in very much garlic
