Pros

My mother's original is owned by her granddaughter now. The pin is still as tight as it came from the factory and my new mixer is good as gold. Performs well, mixes thoroughly.

Quality tool that fits into a part of your life you are much into is worth splurging a little bit. It opens new avenues you may not have known existed. It bounces all over and head lifts up.

Cons

These are not your moms kitchenaid. It’s barely strong enough to knead bread, and even when i make a very basic cookie recipe, it flings flour all over the place. I am so disappointed how such an iconic appliance has become so *.

Only a 325 watt. This is shocking for a $400 mixer. And to have spent $400 on something that is essentially a piece of junk is super frustrating.

I also bought the counter trolly to put it on so it glides easier on the counter

We had the bigger 7qt version of this where the head doesnt tilt

Its more expensive than other brands but you get what you pay for
