The pizza stone we got came with a wooden peel which sucked even before it warped and turned me off from making homemade pizza for a while it was difficult to get it under the pizza in the oven among other issues

I couldnt slide the dough off to the oven so it became quite messy

I didn’t want wood because i didn’t have a place to keep it where it wouldn’t warp

The peel is okay but you have to use enough cornmeal or semolina to keep the dough from sticking you need less with wood

I use it with my weber spirit ii the two burner one and a very nice pizza stone the name of which eludes me at the moment but it was about fifty bucks

I use a wooden paddle to load the pizza into the oven because the pizza does not stick to that surface
