It is covered in a plastic sheet that you want to only expose the parts you are working on in order to avoid dust and oil from your skin ruining the adhesive

How much of the picture is actually paintable always look at the stock pictures provided by the vendor and if they did not include one of the unfinished project then ask

Ive gotten ones before that literally took me 30 minutes to complete because it was one very small part of the picture that was painted and only a couple of colors
