Looks like there might be a bit of small metallic threads in the shade which gives it a little dimension but is not at all unattractive

The bottom of the lamp has a full white frosted coverdiffuser so the light won’t be too glaring sittting beneath the hanging lamp

I love the way it looks however there is a shimmer fabric gold woven into the lamp shade which i love but i didnt notice it when looking on amazon but had read the other reviews
