My first instinct was that every jump rope is the same so i headed to the dollar store and picked up an oldschool jump rope – made of actual rope

Sure the dollar store rope would work for playground fun but is definitely not optimal for workouts

Found an adult’s jump rope on sale for 9 and picked it up

This one while made of new cable rather than rope snapped the first time i accidentally stepped on it

The first thing i did when i received this jump rope was to tug on where the handles meet the cord

However the problem was a little metal washer on the inside of the handles
