Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought this to replace the super noisy fan of my mackie power amp. The fan fit my case opening perfectly. Both cabinets are cool now.
My only gripe is that they don't seem to push a high volume of air. Heat is the number one * of electronics. They have a long life, move a great amount of air and make very little noise.
Very satisfied by this product. For the money you spend you get a quality fan that is relatively quiet and lasts a long time.
Cons
Using adb meter phone app there was zero change in the noise level after replacing the fans. Bearings click very loudly in any orientation, and at any speed.
The one that does work seems to blow air but not as much as a previous purchase. Put an anemometer on it and peaked out at 2 m/s.
At 5v fan only consumes 0. The label states 240 milliamps. Since the specified voltage on the package is 10. Volts, it only draws 110 milliamp. Spec is 0. Addressed with supplier never heard anything back from them.
Highlights
Quality
Ordered this one as a replacement and extremely happy with the low noise level
Cheap but quality made durable dependable and they last forever
Its a cheap fan and yes very quite
Price
Works great maybe not as quite as the original but the price was great
Packaging/appearance
I only used the 3pin connector and not the molex so if you don’t use the molex connector just know that it is safe to snip off
Competitiveness
If you must need a 3pin 80mm fan to replace one that went out or just wanted to upgrade with a newer part this is always a good selection
Using it as an exhaust fan on my wifes desktop pc it does the job great
