My tanks square hole size matches the lever that is why mine stays strait

If the square tank hole is bigger than the handles square it would need to be shimmed in the hole in order to not spin

The rod had to bent to fit but easy to do

The cast base with the square fitting was slightly too large for the square opening on my tank

I saw some reviews about it not working right to lift the flapper but i have not found this to be an issue the farther out you place the chain the higher the lift will be

In fact since i first reviewed my husband has had to add something maybe a longer screw to make it work correctly
