The bottom flips open to insert either a stack of tissues or, if small enough, a cardboard tissue box.

Without that plastic, when the tissue stack gets low in this box, the tissues fall into it after pulling one out so you have to dig into the box to grab the next one.

If it were a quarter inch deeper, it would accommodate a regular kleenex box.

One point deduction is because it can not fit the whole kleenex box from costco.
