Was slightly confused as i thought after pairing the bluetooth to the phone i would have to connect to it

So i was able to use the bluetooth connection to the phone and media via the car and the bluetooth connection worked from elm327 at the same time to the app

My check engine light was not on but plugged it into my 2008 dodge ram found 2 logged codes not active still sitting in the ecm and cleared them out in about a second or 2
