The 450 puts out same as 400watt mh. It's a bright purple whe veg & bloom are both on. I have outdoor tropical plants that need to come in for michigan winters.

Bathtub surround promotes good light reflection, and any used or spilled water is not worried about. Built in cooling fans take care of smells in the house.

Cons

The light advertises 730nm ir diodes and it does not have any. I'm just upset because i got this specifically because it advertised it has ir.
