Pros

It puts razor sharp edges on even cheap knives. Good for maintenance and the occasional polish. Not cracked or chipped.

The king kds is a good step up from the king kw-65. The value of this combo model is very good, especially when comparing it to the high cost of other premium japanese water and ceramic stones like naniwa chosera / shapton etc.

I'm glad i went with this version despite it being a little pricier than the basic model. Performing as expected.

Cons

Future buyers beware that you may receive a cracked stone. Cracked and broken upon arrival, very disapointed.

I used to use a minosharp sharpener for my global knives which cost the same price as this stone

Im glad i went with this version despite it being a little pricier than the basic model

In either case both stones require cleaning off with a nagura stone or rust eraser

Started off by doing my wifes kitchen knives
