Pros

This stone functions flawlessly. It is a little soft, so you'll have to flatten it more often than other stones. This stone is quite thick also, i might not ever have to but another stone in this grit.

The king combo stone is great as well but the 1000 grit on the combo stone is a lot thinner than this one. Certainly cuts faster than my naniwa 3000 and for the price point it feels like a steal.

Flawless sharpening, flawless cleanup. For general sharpening of kitchen knives it shines. If you sharpen with wet stones this is a must.

Very few passes needed to achieve results. Will serve 95% of people very well. Performs exactly as expected.

I ordered my wife a set of wusthof kitchen knife set and wanted good waterstones to keep them sharp

With this king sharpening stone 1000 i beginning to sharpen my chef knive after that i used my 6000 grids

It cuts almost as fast as a highend expensive 1000 grit stone

I have experience with much pricier stones from naniwa shapton suehiro imanishi etc
