The addition of lesser known trivia tidbits regarding the historical figures makes them more real and more relatable. You feel like you know what the characters were actually like and why their personalities made them make the decisions they did.

The author imparts many little known facts and does so in a way that is engaging to tweens. He just lays out the facts and lets them speak for themselves. Write his own hilarious encapsulation of the american revolution.

Sheinkin's book is full of amusing antidotes about real people and not the cardboard cutouts that appear in text books. An antidote is a good way to start a history lesson.
