You use the phone like normal and charge it like normal using the lightning connector at the bottom of the case

The area for camera is cut out and doesn’t interfere with the cameras operation although i think it’s optimised for the iphone 7 camera rather than the 6 which is not centred in the cut out

Trying to charge both the power bank and the phone simultaneously uses a lot of power and more feeble power adapters won’t cope

This does the trick yes its not smart but pressing the charge button isnt the end of the world
