Their efforts to neutralize the threat emphasize that their "old-school" methods are still highly effective. An attempt to eliminate them sends them on a hunt for who ordered the hit. No slowing down for them.

Killers builds in tension so give yourself time to read the last half in one sitting. The narration was really superb. The dialogue is crisp and believable.

Billie in particular is the center of the story. Billie is kind of the touchstone of the group. Mary alice is also a kindred spirit with her choice of gay regency romance novels.

At a glance, it sounds like an action-packed take on the golden girls. Not engaging. It starts with an interesting premise.

I'm a big fan of raybourne's speedwell series, but this book was disappointing. This book is sure to disappoint in that.
