Pros
The stakes keep getting upped in the ledger series. As expected, another badass joe ledger installment. This series is very contagious.
Tapping into lovecraftian mythology, intelligence communities' forays into psychic warfare. Maberry succeeds in somehow still treading fresh ground with this story and again avoiding anything stale or well-worn. Recommended with warmth.
The book is a page turner. I miss the first couple books where ledger was just kickin *.
Mayberry delivers another chapter of ferocious warfare, smart plot points and even a surprise death. In this one the dms is more beat back than ever and under attack like never before. Echo team is, for lack of a better word, boss.
Cons

I enjoy all of the joe ledger books a great deal
Someone has to pay the price to keep us safe from all the monsters and evil people

Look its pure escapism but its a lot of fun
