I received this as a gift purchased the sim card followed the instructions and still am unable to get the device to work

I did the first steps in which consists of inserting the ship and pressing and holding the white button for 3 seconds and did wait for the 5 blue blinks to and i installed it in my car now im having trouble locating with in the app
