A few things1 if you attempt to use the reverse find function phone finder it works if and only if a the phone has the application open in the background b the app is not in the finding phone state

There is a notification which pops up when the app enters this state and the phone starts ringing

However while pressing the notification silences the ringing it does not exit that state
