Pairing is pretty straight forward with the app but the instructions could be translated to english better than they are

The features are a noise separation feature so that if the gps unit is outside of the detectable range of the phone it alarms

I did not try testing the find feature from very far away but you would have to be within hearing distance to make the alarm useful unless you were trying to sound the alarm for someone else to find
