Overall i am not sure this is the right style of case for a sensitive instrument like a portable weather station

However the top is so wide open on the sides that any dirt or snow you lay in will get inside the case and maybe into the instrument

The belt loop is a mollestyle for military but you can sortof convert it to be a regular belt loop
