Pros

Taiwanese manufacturers typically carry a higher mantle of quality, and this is no exception. Kester is very reliable. Excellent solder when compared to all the cheaper ones out there.

Solder runs perfectly. We do a lot of custom hotrod wiring and this solder is amazing. Great for my modular builds. Good size for all-around electronic repair servicing.

Unspools nicely, melts nicely, flows nicely. Less splattery than cardas while smaller.

The joints shine like polished silver. Cools shiny with perfect fillets.

Cons

With a good weller soldering station at low heat the solder leaves a thick brown residue and requires additional flux to get a smooth solder. Lead damages the brain, and causes cancer, high blood pressure, and violent/criminal behavior.

Competitiveness

I have tried to use many other solder brands and none work as well as genuine kester

Dont worry about your solder connections later as other brands dont work as well

It is almost odorless and remains shiny on the tip of your iron longer than the competition

I always find myself reordering kester solder having used many other brands
